Exam

Final examination:

Only students with both credits may enlist for the final examination. The exam itself consists of 2 parts:

Practical part

- microscopic pathology (reading and interpreting of 2 histological slides; time – on the examination day)

Theoretical part

- divided into 3 topics covering general as well as organ pathology.

Failure of any part of the exams automatically leads to the failure of the whole exam.

Students, who fail to pass the examination in the given academic year, will have to repeat the whole subject including attendance to compulsory classes. Those students will also have to fulfill conditions for a credit in both semesters again. In such cases, the credit given in the previous winter and/or summer semester won't be accepted.

Students studying on an individual study plan (ISP) who previously fulfilled conditions for both credits (in winter and summer semester), will have their credits accepted and won’t participate in compulsory lessons of pathology in the following academic year (but we strictly recommend attending the lectures). Such students may enlist for the final examination in the following academic year. However, if a student on ISP failed to fulfill conditions for a credit in winter or summer semester in the previous period, this credit won’t be accepted, and such student will have to attend the compulsory lessons of pathology in the following academic year. Those students will also have to fulfill conditions for a credit in the given semester again.
