18.03.2024-24.03.2024
Presentations from students - without kahoots and autopsy practices. Seminar for both groups. The 2d group, who did not hear NEWs presentation (GIT diseases) will have it after the seminar.
25.03.2024-31.03.2024
Kahoots for both circles – without autopsy practice. Seminar for both groups.
We always ask the appropriate group to meet on the day of their practices at 12:35 at the seminar room. Your assistant together with Prof. Zámečník/Dr. Balko/Dr. Koblížek will pick you up and after the introductory speech they will divide you into 4 groups of 4-5 people. You can arrange groups in advance so that we don't waste time dividing up on the spot.
Each group will then be assigned 2 laboratories from our institute, which they will visit - each for about 45 minutes. The first lab at 12:40-13:25 and the second lab after a break at 13:35-14:20. We have prepared a presentation of the grossing room of biopsy material, histopathological staining, intraoperative biopsy operation, ELMI, laboratory of muscle diseases, IHC laboratory, flow cytometry (FACS), FISH laboratory and pre- and post-PCR techniques of molecular pathology.
From your excursions, each group will then prepare a 5-minute long report with a presentation, which you will present to your classmates in the next part of the clinical weeks. This procedure is chosen to keep your attention during excursions, when you will try out a number of things in practice, see the real daily operation of pathology and learn and remember all the methods better than when simply reading from a textbook ;)
We believe that you will enjoy the clinical weeks. We are looking forward to seeing you in the labs :)
